University of California San Diego, in collaboration with the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians and other Indigenous organizations, is leading a large-scale eucalyptus removal and habitat restoration project. Trees will be cut down using chainsaws, with stumps ground below grade. Any regrowth will be treated with herbicide to prevent return.
