Reasons for Exemption
The project provides for the acquisition and use of existing facilities involving no expansion of existing uses. The County intends to acquire the Property to continue to operate as a public library which is its current use. The proposed acquisition does not contemplate any expansion nor modification of the existing building. In addition, based on the project records, the project will comply with all applicable regulations, is not located in a sensitive environment, and there are no cumulative impacts, unusual circumstances, damage to scenic highways, listing on hazardous waste site lists compiled pursuant to Government Code 65962.5, or indications that it may cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a historical resource that would make the exemption inapplicable.
