Document Description
Caltrans proposes installing Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) on US-101 at San Antonio Avenue from post mile R0.20 to R0.40. The guardrail will connect to the existing guardrail on the south end and have end treatment at the approach end. The guardrail is intended to protect errant drivers. Some project elements will occur off the paved roadway, but all work will remain within Caltrans right of way. Construction shall be staged within Caltrans right of way in areas absent of vegetation or in designated parking areas. The project is proposed to be constructed in June of 2026.
