Reasons for Exemption
Class 17 consists of the establishment of agricultural preserves, the making and renewing of open space contracts under the Williamson Act, or the acceptance of easements or fee interests in order to maintain the open space character of the area. The Project consists of the establishment of a 53.33-acre agricultural preserve, consisting of 12.47-acres of upland crop and 40.36-acre open space, in the AG-40 (Agricultural - 40 Acres) zoning district. Therefore, the Project is exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
