Document Description
This Director’s Order request proposes emergency repairs resulting from an Atmospheric River storm that brought heavy precipitation, causing flooding and debris flows within the Line Fire burn scar along sections of State Route 330 (SR-330). Drainage basins were filled up with large amounts of sediment, which overwhelmed drainage systems, over topped basins, and covered the roadway with debris. The debris flows that over topped the roadway damaged debris barriers, guardrails, cable railings, roadway signs, and also eroded and undermined parts of the roadway embankments, making the roadway unsafe for travel. Currently, SR-330 is closed to the public in both directions between Highland Avenue (PM R29.6) to Live Oak Drive (PM 41.8).
