Document Description
The project proposes an 81-foot-tall monopine cell tower and related equipment including a diesel generator and other ground equipment. The tower will be camouflaged to resemble a tree. The ground equipment will be screened from view within an 18-foot by 23-foot fenced lease area (Project). The proposed camouflaged cell tower will be located toward the rear of a triangular parcel within an established heavy commercial/light industrial area, bordered on two sides by similar uses. While the site is situated across Stafford Way from two multiple-family residential complexes, the Yuba-Sutter Gleaners Food Bank building serves as a visual and physical buffer between the tower and the nearest residences. The tower will remain partially visible from various vantage points, including surrounding residential areas, and the site will be accessed by an internal driveway from Stafford Way to the rear of the parcel.
The cell tower facility will be unmanned, with potential noise by an emergency generator to be utilized during emergency conditions and during monthly testing for up to 40 minutes.
