Document Description
Caltrans approves the encroachment permit application submitted by Southern California Edison (SCE) to perform two potholing excavations to obtain substructure information for the future traffic signal, one at a future Tower Steel Pole (TSP) location and one at a future vault location. The pothole/excavation must be backfilled once done. All work is within the Caltrans right-of-way along State Route (SR) 1 at Post Mile (PM) 17.64 associated with temporary traffic control activities in the City of Redondo Beach, Los Angeles County. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 156 inches, a maximum width of 24 inches, and a maximum length of 22 linear feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
