Document Description
The City of Lemoore is undertaking improvements to its wastewater collection system in the areas served by the Carmel and Viera Lift Stations. To address existing capacity limitations and accommodate future growth, the City plans to construct a new lift station—Lift Station 9A—at the current Carmel Lift Station site located on the east side Carmel Drive (see Figure1). This new facility is designed to accommodate projected peak flows through 2040 and serve as a replacement for both of those lift stations. The project also includes installation of a new gravity sewer main that will redirect wastewater from the Viera lift station to the new lift station. Following new tie-in connection to the existing gravity sewer line at S. 19th Avenue, south of Tammy Lane, the new gravity sewer line will run south through the City park area and cross beneath the SR198 westbound on/off-ramp, within the Caltrans right-of-way, then turn west and continue under South 19th Avenue, terminating at the Lift Station 9A site.
