Document Description
The project will enhance and revegetate a 1.5 acre site with monarch butterfly plantings of native roost trees, insecticide-free native milkweed and California nectar sources (estimated 15,000 to 20,000 plants), which will have bloom times correlated with butterfly migration and breeding cycles. After restoration is completed the project site will be monitored for butterfly presence to evaluate the success of restoration activities and give recommendations to improve butterfly conservation efforts.
