In 2020, erosion on the left bank of Alameda Creek exposed a section of the SFPP LS-16 petroleum products pipeline at the crossing of Alameda Creek. An emergency project placed rock riprap armoring around the exposed section of LS-16 in Alameda Creek. The Project will use horizontal directional drilling to install a new segment of LS-16 below the bed of Alameda Creek. After the new portion of LS-16 is installed, the rock riprap and current section of LS-16 will be removed from Alameda Creek.
