Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-CCA-59027-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the City of Pleasant Hill. The project is limited to routine maintenance activities necessary to maintain design capacity at nine bridge facilities owned by the City of Pleasant Hill. Routine maintenance activities will be limited to silt removal and vegetation management within the concrete-lined portion of the channel beneath each bridge. Laborers will use shovels to load excess silt into a lowered excavator bucket, or to pile excess silt where it can be removed by a vactor vehicle. Vegetation management will be limited to the removal of non-native, invasive plants using hand tools. All in-channel work will be conducted by laborers using hand tools, and no heavy equipment will enter the channel below top-of-bank. No trees will be removed during project activities.
