Document Description
This project proposes to install a fence to fully enclose a garden that will provide herbs and vegetables for the Columbia City Hotel Restaurant and What Cheer Saloon in Columbia State Historic Park in accordance with the concession contracts for the restaurants. The garden area is already enclosed on three sides and this new 30-ft. alignment will fully enclose the garden space. All plants will be cultivated in raised beds or historically appropriate pots. Work will: • Excavate six (6) 12-in. dia. x 18-20-in. deep holes; • Install four (4) 4-in. x 4-in treated wood posts and secure with compacted gravel; • Install two (2) 4-in. x 4-in treated wood posts, secure with compacted gravel and attach one (1) 36-in wide person gate; • Attach 2-in. x 4-in. boards at the top and base of the posts; and • Vertically attach 5-ft.-tall rough-sawn 1-in. x 12-in. cedar fence boards.
