Document Description
The project involves the renovation of approximately 2,544 GSF on the B-1 level of the Peter V. Morton Medical Building (known as MP200), located on the UCLA campus at 200 Medical Plaza, to create imaging and support areas to accommodate four new nuclear medicine equipment units. The Nuclear Medicine Department at UCLA Health proposes to reconfigure and renovate multiple offices, a conference room, restroom, and adjacent corridors to provide new patient treatment areas, including imaging, equipment, and control rooms. The scope of work includes interior demolition; the construction of new interior partitions; installation of new doors, flooring, ceilings, and wall finishes; new casework, lighting, and plumbing fixtures; structural strengthening and equipment anchorage; modifications to the fire alarm, fire sprinkler, nurse call, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to accommodate the new program; installation of lead shielding, signage, and data conduit and cabling for communications and security systems connectivity; and testing and commissioning of all new equipment components. Networking equipment will be installed in an adjacent office. There would be no change in gross floor area or medical uses as a result of this project. Construction is anticipated to begin in November 2027 and be complete in June 2029.
