Document Description
The Branching Out project will plant 1,300 15-gallon trees, expected to reach 40–100 feet in height. Planting includes 3x3-foot holes, site preparation, removal of dead trees, and installation of irrigation as needed. Various tools and equipment will be used based on site conditions, and soil enhancements and tree donuts will support establishment. City staff will provide ongoing maintenance, including regular
inspections, irrigation, fertilization, and pest management. To reduce environmental impact—particularly fertilizer runoff into the Tuolumne River—applications are carefully timed, and soil-injection methods are used for aphid control.
