Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number LAK-57517-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the California Department of Transportation. The project is limited to culvert work at three locations. The project is part of a larger capital maintenance project that involves rehabilitation of roadway pavement, drainage systems, and other associated work. At PM 15.26, the existing 18-inch by 70-foot corrugated steel pipe (CSP) will be replaced and upsized with a 24-inch by 70-foot CSP, and a 24-inch steel flared end section (FES) and rock slope protection will be installed at the outlet. At PM 16.44, the existing 24-inch by 88-foot CSP will be replaced in-kind. At PM 18.43, the existing 24-inch steel FES at the inlet will be replaced in-kind. Trimming and removal of riparian vegetation will be performed at each proposed site as necessary, using hand tools or heavy equipment. Heavy equipment will remain on the roadway prism and not be driven down within the stream and riparian habitat to perform vegetation removal work. Dewatering and temporary clear water diversions may be required prior to any in-channel work if flowing or standing water is present.
