Document Description
The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate Taxiway A at the Petaluma Municipal Airport. The work includes a two-inch asphalt concrete (AC) overlay of approximately 20,000 square yards (SY) of pavement. All repairs will occur within the existing developed area, and the construction duration is approximately 3 months.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301, Existing Facilities, as the project involves paving an existing taxiway. The project will not result in increased capacity of the existing taxiway and there is negligible or no expansion of use beyond what currently exists. The project is also exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15302, Replacement or Reconstruction as it consists of reconstruction of an existing taxiway that will be located on the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity. Furthermore, there are no cumulative impacts, unusual circumstances or other factors that would make the exemption inapplicable. Therefore, this project is exempt under CEQA sections 15301, Existing Facilities, and 15302, Replacement or Reconstruction.
