Pub. Resources Code, § 21080(b)(8)
Reasons for Exemption
Resolution No. 11-2025 provides for the adjustment of current water system rates for the District's service area ("Charges"). These Charges allow the District to meet the District's financial reserve requirements and obtain funds for capital projects, which are necessary to maintain service within the District's existing water service area as described herein. The need to meet the District's financial reserve requirements and obtain funds for capital projects, to be funded by the Charges, will not expand the District's water system. The adoption of the Charges is necessary and reasonable to meet the District's financial reserve requirements and obtain funds for capital projects.
