Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the CEQA Guidelines pursuant to the Provisions of Title 14 of the California Administrative Code, Section 15301, which provides for additions to existing structures provided that the additional will not result in an increase of more than 50 percent of the floor area of the structure before the addition, or 2,500 square feet, whichever is less. the proposed project will add a total of 140 sq ft to an existing 813 sq ft structure, which constitutes a 17% increase in total floor area.
No exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply, and there is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment.
