Document Description
Trinity County Resource Conservation District (the District) plans to implement noxious weed removal around Rush Creek Road, near the intersection of Rush Creek Drive and Rush Creek Road, approximately seven (7) miles north/northeast of Weaverville, in Trinity County, CA. This work will take place entirely on private lands within the area of Rush Creek Road, in areas where noxious weeds have spread along the confluence of Rush Creek. This removal of noxious weeds will prevent further spread from their point of origin and transport downstream through Rush Creek. The District plans to implement noxious weed removal on up to five (5) acres, on private lands along Rush Creek. The primary goal of this project is to remove existing invasive populations and prevent the further spread of garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata) throughout the Rush Creek watershed, which is tributary to the mainstem Trinity River. Our objectives are to minimize the effect of invasive noxious weeds on native plant populations and allow for the natural regeneration of native species within affected areas.
