Applicant T-Mobile proposes to install (1) a co-location on an existing tower owned and operated by South Feather Water and Power Agency (SFWPA) and (2) establish a lease agreement for a 10 x 15 foot (150 square feet) area next to the tower within a developed 3.56-acre property owned by SFWPA. T-Mobile seeks approval of a Minor Use Permit for a proposed: co-location, fenced facility with equipment on the lease area, easement to connect to an existing pole, and ice bridge from the lease area to the tower. The 6 antennas and related equipment would be approximately 180 feet high, antenna centerline on the 202 feet tower. The project site is a 3.56-acre parcel at 5494 Forbestown Road, Forbestown CA 95941. The site is located on the southside of Forbestown Road, approximately 1,543 feet east of New York Flat Road and 1,288 feet west of Challenge Cut-off Road. On December 17, 2025 the Butte County Zoning Administrator adopted the Negative Declaration prepared for the project and approved the Minor Use Permit with conditions.
