Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is Exempt from environmental proceedings pursuant to California Government Code section 65583.2, subdvs. (i), which exempts a “project” for purposes of Division 13 (commencing with Section 21000) of the Public Resources Code” from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review for by right projects. In addition, per the Palmdale Municipal Code Section 17.20.010.C, it allows for projects that are proposed with a minimum of 20 percent restricted to low-income housing to be approved ministerially.
