Document Description
Project proposes to install new wildlifeproof trash/recycling bins, food storage lockers and dumpsters (up to 1,013 units) throughout fourteen (14) parks within the Northern Buttes District to provide improved facilities for public use and to reduce wildlife interactions with food and trash. The new food lockers will be located within the bounds of designated campsites, with final placement at the discretion of the maintenance personnel, to compensate for already existing facilities (i.e., tent pads, fire pits, etc.). All food lockers placed at ADA sites/campsites will be placed in the same locations as the removed to ensure the new unit meets current ADA guidelines. Installation will utilize either a pole mount method, requiring one (1) 12-in x 22-in. hole to be dug for each unit or utilize wooden beams and rebar to anchor the unit in areas where no hole can be dug.
