Document Description
Caltrans proposes repairing a sinkhole at post mile (PM) 31.7 and cold planing and placing 0.5 feet of hot mix asphalt (HMA) at PM 38.1 on United States (US-) 101 in Santa Clara County. The sinkhole is located in the gore area between US-101 and the off-ramp. The sinkhole repair method is cut and cover. Construction equipment may include, but will not be limited to, grinding machines, striping machines, excavators, and small drainage equipment. Some project elements will occur off the paved roadway. The project will be constructed during the spring and summer construction season starting in June 2026 and ending in October 2026.
