Document Description
The project consists of the conversion of two small indoor cannabis cultivation licenses to one medium
indoor cannabis cultivation license. The project is located the city of Los Angeles. Existing structures will remain with no
expansion proposed for the project. The property is approximately 52,411 square feet. Operations would be seven days
per week from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The canopy area will be expanded from 20,000 square feet to 21,900 square feet,
a total expansion of 1,900 square feet.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor
alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. Class 32
Categorical Exemptions consist of projects characterized as in-fill development that satisfies the following: is consistent with the applicable general plan designation and all applicable general plan policies as well as with applicable zoning
designation and regulations; occurs within city limits on a project site of no more than five acres; is substantially surrounded by urban uses; has no value as habitat for endangered, rare or threatened species; would not result in any
significant effects relating to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality; and can be adequately served by all required utilities and public services. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
