Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-RIV-39817-R6], pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to City of Riverside - Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department.
The Project includes two routine maintenance activities, vegetation management
activities and removal of sediment. Fire fuel reduction and weed abatement activities will involve removing non-native plants and thinning of understory. Trees will be limbed up to 8 feet, understory thinned out according to California defensible space standards. Equipment includes mechanical cutters, shredders, string trimmers, and chainsaws. The Project site will be accessed using the maintenance road being created from the parking lot at Legion Hall. The Project includes the removal of sediment from the outlet and about 230 feet downstream of the storm drain outlet structure to create and maintain a low-flow channel.
