Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. LAK-60839-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Dan Stahr. The project is limited to the annual removal of sediment from approximately 800 linear feet of Hendricks Creek. The purpose of the project is to maintain the flood flow capacity of the creek. Each year accumulated sediment will be excavated and removed from the creek until the native bed substrate containing 1-inch to 2-inch diameter gravel is exposed. Sediment removal will be limited to the minimum amount necessary to restore the stream’s flood capacity. Sediment removal will be limited to no more than 250 cubic yards for the life of this Agreement. Project activities may also include trimming of vegetation for access, but no removal of native vegetation, trees, or shrubs. The removed sediment will be redistributed on the adjacent property, in areas where sediment will not be washed into waterways. In-stream activities will occur while the creek is dry. A backhoe and dump truck will be used to complete the work.
