Document Description
The project will install new conduit and fiber optic cable to complete the communication loop through the projects extent. East 7th Street Corridor has 14 signalized intersections, East 4th Street has 10 signalized intersections and East Broadway has 7 signalized intersections. Along East 7th Street and East Broadway, 8 intersections will be upgraded. The traffic signal improvement component of this project will upgrade current signalized intersections and provide fiber optic interconnect between signals and the traffic management center (TMC). The project will procure traffic signal equipment such as vehicle heads, mast arms, poles, vehicle detectors, ADA pedestrian push down and wiring. The equipment will be necessary to conform to current City of Long Beach, CA-MUTCD, and CALTRANS Standards.
