Document Description
Caltrans proposes to replace cameras and station components of Traffic Management Systems (TMS) in poor condition at various locations; there are 7 locations in San Bernardino County and 3 locations in Riverside County. The purpose of this project is to enhance roadway safety and improve overall traffic operation. New cameras would connect to existing electrical connections and be located overhead, and other replacements would occur at cabinets located off the shoulders. There would be Driving/Parking off pavement, although no ground disturbance would occur. There would also be no need for equipment staging areas, and no utility relocations or connections to new infrastructure are anticipated. All work would be performed within Caltrans R/W. This project is funded by State funding.
