The Class 3 Categorical Exemption consists of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure. The project involves a height increase of the monopole originally proposed in Level I HDP 25-049 from 60-feet to 75-feet to accommodate potential future co-location of wireless carriers as well as change the paint color to “Espresso Bean” as requested by the City of Long Beach Planning Bureau.
