Document Description
Suburban Water Systems proposes to install a new Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) treatment system to treat water from Suburban Water Systems existing groundwater wells to acceptable levels of PFAS. The PFAS treatment system will be built at an elevated grade. The project includes ion exchange (IX) tanks with a pretreatment system and operations building, borrow pits with interconnecting culverts to act as a stormwater quality control facility, new pipelines to connect the PFAS system to the existing groundwater wells, and access roadway improvements such as the installation of gravel base to access the existing wells and PFAS system. The project also includes the installation of a new utility switchboard within an acoustic enclosure and a new standby backup generator by existing groundwater well 6.
