Document Description
Caltrans approves of the encroachment permit for SFPP, L.P. to perform geotechnical studies at two locations within Caltrans right-of-way along State Route (SR-)91 at Post Mile (PM) 16.605, in the City of Bellflower, Los Angeles County. The purpose of the geotechnical borings is to investigate the potential impacts of petroleum hydrocarbons in soils and potentially groundwater from a release of fuel products from a damaged section of a subsurface 16-inch pipeline. Excavation will be done via ground boring and will have a maximum depth of 40 feet, a maximum width of two (2) inches, and a maximum length of 40 linear feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the Project.
