Document Description
Establish, develop, and maintain Weed Management Area's (WMA) and implement the WMA's integrated weed management plan. California Food and Agricultural Code, Section 7271 (c)(1). - Protect the biodiversity of native ecosystems through abatement of noxious weeds and other invasive weeds in El Dorado County. The work will consist of controlling or mapping of noxious and invasive weeds, as defined in Food and Agriculture Code Section 7270-7276. All mapping will be completed utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS) data collection and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for data management and map production. Historic sites will be visited, with a special emphasis placed on “high priority” sites. Priority will be based on noxious weed rating and eradication potential. Early detection and rapid response protocols will be utilized to prioritize our survey areas and our eradication protocols. Data will be managed by El Dorado County Department of Agriculture
