Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SON-57991-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, to Kelder Engineering, Inc. The project is limited to the biotechnical stabilization and revegetation of an eroding bank along the Russian River. The project will require stabilization of approximately 4,300 square feet (105 linear feet) of the bank of the river using riprap interplanted with willow (Salix sp.) stakes. The work will occur using an excavator to place the rock from the top of the slope. The project will result in approximately 4,300 square feet of permanent impact to riparian habitat. A total of two riparian trees will be removed as part of this project. Access and staging will occur via an existing driveway and developed backyard. There will be no temporary impacts to riparian habitat from this project. All work will occur outside of the wetted portion of the channel.
