The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SMO-59860-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to San Mateo County Parks as represented by Evan Cole. The project is limited to replacing the failing culvert at Schenly Creek with a 72” diameter, 80-foot long heavy-gage and polymer-coated corrugated steel culvert sized for a 100-year flow event to prevent chronic and future soil erosion and maintain vehicle access on Old Haul Road for recreation, administrative, emergency, and forest health and fire resiliency work purposes. The stabilized crossing is estimated to prevent an excess of 10 cubic yards of sediment from eroding into the creek each year.
