Document Description
Manufacturing-Two Use No. M-2 68-5 was approved by the Tulare County Planning Commission on May 22, 1968, as resolution no. 68-1444, which established a foundry and metal fabrication industry on a 33.0-acre site within the M-2 (Heavy Manufacturing) Zone. The requested minor modification M-2 68-5, is to allow the installation of an airless spin head applicator system for the application of a ceramic epoxy lining to the interior surfaces of pipes, valves, fittings and other similar metallic products to prevent corrosion. The beneficiaries of the Project would be the applicant.

Reasons for Exemption
Project is categorically exempt, consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA) and the State CEQA Guidelines, pursuant to Title 14, Cal. Code Regulations Section 15301 Existing Facilities. The use of 15301 is applicable and appropriate as the proposed project consists of maintenance and minor alterations of an existing private structure and mechanical equipment that does not involve an expansion of an existing use. Furthermore, no additional structures are being proposed. Therefore, the lead agency concludes that the proposed Project fits under the exemption as it is consistent with the Tulare County Zoning Ordinance and General Plan.
