East Fork Scott River Forest Health Implementation Project-Amended

The original IS/ND, adopted for 263 acres, authorized non-commercial manual thinning/pruning, mastication and chipping, hand piling, and pile burning across three treatment areas: the Hayden Ridge Unit, the Highway 3 Unit, and the Noyes Creek Units. The IS/ND concluded no impact or a less-than-significant impact across all Appendix G resource areas, and a Negative Declaration was adopted. Description of Added Area and Rationale for Expansion: This amendment adds 134 acres across two additional treatment units, both located south of Hayden Ridge bordering Klamath National Forest ownership, under the same landowner (The Wildlands Conservancy) as the original project area. The added acreage is of similar forest vegetation types to the original project area, and will be treated using the same methods and the same specifications and Best Management Practices adopted in the original ND, unchanged — including the original watercourse buffer standard (BMP Hydro-2).
