Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number LAK-61435-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Russell Porterfield. The project is limited to replacement of an existing 75-foot-long seawall that is actively failing and directly adjoins a neighboring wall to the east. The neighboring wall is also being replaced under EPIMS notification number LAK-61631. The replacement wall will be approximately 3 feet lakeward of the existing wall. The wall will be built with a total of 13 steel pilings (8-inch diameter), approximately 6 feet apart, with vinyl sheet panel attached between each piling. A portion of the existing soil backfill will be removed using heavy equipment to reduce collapse risk. Once the project is complete the area will be backfilled with a total of approximately 83 cubic yards of light drain rock. A tree stump will be removed; no live native vegetation will be impacted. The project will be completed with a compact excavator, crane, pontoon boat, and pile driver.
