Document Description
This city project proposes to widen El Camino Real between Arenal Road and La Costa Avenue, install buffered bike lanes and a new sidewalk, construct new pedestrian bridges over San Marcos Creek, abandon and relocated utilities, and perform intersection improvements and restriping. While mostly within existing right of way, the project also proposes to acquire right-of-way. The project proposes grading and impacts to native vegetation. Pursuant to the General Plan, the project proposes a waiver from open space boundary adjustment requirements. An amendment is also proposed to adjust a Habitat Management Plan hardline boundary to accommodate the project’s permanent removal of 0.201 acre of hardline preserve areas. The project is in the Coastal Zone.
