Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The cultivation project described herein includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor's Parcel Number (APN: 019-390-008-000). Cultivation activities are approved to include approx. 9,996sqft of mature canopy in (204) 5'x5' boxes each with a 7'x7' canopy area. Existing support infrastructure is approved to include a permitted onsite groundwater well, two (2) 550-gallon nutrient mixing tanks, two (2) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks, a 6'x50' hoop house for immature canopy, a 10'x12' shed for petroleum storage, and a 10'x10' cannabis waste and composting area. Proposed activities are approved to include the installation of three (3) 10'x12' sheds for ag chemical storage, harvest storage and processing on previously disturbed areas. Power for the project is provided by generators less than 50hp and a permitted onsite septic system serves the project's wastewater needs. Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
