Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Professions Code, Section 26012, approved a Small Mixed-Light Tier 2 commercial cannabis cultivation license. The Project will consist of 9,999 square feet of outdoor canopy being grown in hoop houses on a rural 20-acre parcel. Water is provided by an onsite well with an estimated use of 150,000 gallons annually. Water storage is located on site. This license will replace an active mixed-light license and will be in addition to an existing specialty outdoor license which allows up to 5,000 square feet of mature canopy

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
