Document Description
The project will replace approximately 2,025 feet of existing 8-inch steel pipeline running along State Route (SR)-168 from Home Street to Main Street. The new pipeline will consist of a 12-inch ductile iron pipe. Initially, this project planned to use C-900 PVC pipe, however due to utility conflicts, the design team, in conjunction with the City, decided to upgrade the pipe material for utility crossing locations to improve protection against potential contamination. This project also includes the installation of multiple isolation valves to the west of the new pipe installation. These valves will be installed along the existing 12-inch main running along SR-168 extending west from the Home Street intersection out to well 4. The valves will be strategically placed to facilitate potential future connections to the water main and ensure compliance with American Water Works Association (AWWA) valve spacing standards.

The project would replace an existing water pipeline along SR 49.
