Statutory Exemption

Reasons for Exemption
The Pentz Road Widening Project is a component within the Town of Paradise General Plan Environmental Impact Report (EIR), certified in 1994, and included as a needed improvement within the General Plan 2022- 2030 Housing and Safety Elements Update Initial Study with Negative Declaration approved by the Town in
June 2022. The General Plan EIR and Housing and Safety Elements Update IS/ND served as a basis for a Modified Initial Study/15183 Checklist to determine if impacts related to the Pentz Road Widening Project would occur that were not adequately covered in the previously certified environmental documents. The analysis conducted determined that all impacts were previously adequately addressed in the General Plan EIR and Housing and Safety Elements Update IS/ND. Additional avoidance and minimization measures were recommended for project-specific impacts; however, no new mitigation measures were required. Therefore, no further environmental review is necessary for this project.
