Document Description
Caltrans proposes to repair an eroded slope on Highway 1 at post mile R47.6 that was caused by a damaged down drain. The affected area is approximately 100 square feet. The erosion has extended beneath the pavement and poses a risk to the normal use of Highway 1. The work includes installing rock slope protection to stabilize the slope, repairing the damaged drainage system, resetting the guardrail affected by the erosion, and restoring the pavement in the eroded area. The slope will be restored using landscape erosion control measures and the disturbed area will be hydroseeded with a native seed mix appropriate for the area. Traffic control will be required during construction.
