Document Description
The Alameda County Public Works Agency is proposing sidewalk improvements on Proctor Road from Walnut Road to Redwood Road in Castro Valley. The project would construct approximately 6,700 linear feet of new concrete sidewalks and curb ramps to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety. Work will consist of: new sidewalks, curb ramps, curb and gutter, construction and replacement of driveways, roadway crack sealing/slurry sealing, signing and striping, 16 landscape tree removed, utility relocations and adjustments, and new landscaping/tree planting. No right-of-way acquisition will be required. Traffic control measures will be implemented to maintain public safety during construction, and best management practices (BMPs) will be used to avoid and minimize environmental impacts.
