Reasons for Exemption
The project is categorically exempt pursuant to section 15303 of the CEQA Guidelines because it consists of the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small structures and/or the installation of small new equipment in small structures with only minor modifications to the structures. Each charger is approximately 5 ½ tall feet by 2 ½ feet wide and 9” deep. The site at CA-4 in Calaveras County will have 16 ports and the site at CA-17 in Santa Clara will have 24 ports installed. . This project is therefore categorically exempt from environmental review pursuant to section 15303 of the CEQA Guidelines because it consists of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures and installation of small new equipment.
