Reasons for Exemption
Categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15303(e), regarding “New Construction”, which exempts construction of accessory structures including garages, carports, patios, swimming pools, and fences. A platform and covered patio structure for an outdoor dining area, and parking lot modifications, fall within this category of an accessory structure, and therefore, meet the criteria of this categorical exemption. There is no substantial evidence that the project involves unusual circumstances, including future activities, resulting in, or which might reasonably result in, significant impacts which threaten the environment. None of the exceptions in CEQA Guidelines section 15300.2 apply.
