The project is exempt pursuant to Class 4 because the exploration work would entail only temporary minor alterations to land and pursuant to Class 6 because it consists of basic data collection. All work would be subject to conditions established in permits, which would include measures to protect sensitive resources in the project area. No exceptions to Categorical Exemptions (pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2) apply to the project.
