Document Description
This project will consist of installing a mini traffic circle/roundabout at the intersection of Ward Avenue and Salado Avenues to mitigate the congestion that accumulates along both roads. The Project will also include design of asphalt overlay necessary dig-outs, and striping along Ward Avenue, from American Eagle Ave to 9th St and Salado Ave from Ward Ave to 7th St. Before overlaying, pavement surfaces with severe conditions will be reconstructed to full section depth, including excavation and reconstruction with aggregate base and asphalt concrete. In addition, 13 curb ramps within the project limits will be reconstructed to meet the most current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards. The improvements are expected to be located within the City of Patterson right-of-way, though a potential conflict with a TID power pole and guy wire at the northeast corner will need to be evaluated.
