Document Description
The proposed project is "Charge Ready Parks Pilot"; Southern California Edison (SCE) will design, install, maintain, and own electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment for a term of 8 years. State Parks is required by Public Utilities Code section 7 40.14 to determine which state parks or beaches are suitable for charging stations under this program that serve residents of disadvantaged communities. For these purposes, "disadvantaged communities" means communities identified by the California Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund Investment Plan and Communities Revitalization Act (Chapter 4.1 (commencing with Section 39710) of Part 2 of Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code). Disturbance will be limited to nineteen (19) existing parking spaces will be impacted. The project work location is on the north side of the park in the parking day-use parking lot 4 and Visitor Center parking lot.

in compliance with Section 15300.2. If the project is implemented as indicated within the CDPR Project Evaluation Form including measures provided by CDPR staff, then it is exempt under the CDPR list of Exempt Activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as:
Class 3, Section 15303- New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures
•Construction or installation of park facilities such as kiosks, restrooms, small parking lots, interpretive signing or panels, fencing, signs, above-ground fuel and water tanks, mobile home pads with utility connections, camphost sites, fencing and gates, boat launching facilities, concessionaire structures, and tent
cabins.
