Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor's Parcel Number (APN): 019-450-013-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-840) and is also seeking an Adult Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC). Cultivation activities are approved to include approx. 9,996sqft of mature canopy in (121) existing and (83) proposed 7'x7' mature canopy areas to be installed on previously disturbed areas. Support infrastructure is approved to include an existing 10'x12' shed for harvest storage as well as proposed installation of a 10'x12' shed for processing, two (2) 6'x50' hoop houses for immature canopy, an 8'x8' shed for ag chemical storage, a 10'x10' cannabis waste composting area and a 2,500- gallon water storage tank on previously disturbed area without tree removal or the use of heavy equipment. Road improvements including surfacing may occur as needed. Power for the project is provided by generators less than 50hp with proposed solar system in the future. There is a permitted septic system onsite to serve the project's wastewater needs.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
